A History of Technological Pioneering

With a passion for technology dating back to the late 1970s, David Lowrance has a storied history of pushing boundaries and leveraging advancements to benefit clients. From building his computer, monitor, and floppy disk unit from a Heathkit H8 and H9 in 1977 to developing programming solutions with TI SR52 programming using its magnetic card for HUD multifamily development processing, his early ventures demonstrated his innovative spirit.

Unleashing Innovative Software Solutions

In the 1980s, Lowrance customized a real estate program that revolutionized his single-family law practice. Later, in 1998, he co-founded Cornerstone Technologies International LLC (CST), an outsource software company with offices in Bucharest, Romania, and the U.S. that developed cutting-edge programs for prestigious clients like Union Planters Bank and Regions Bank. The program also spawned Ascential (AST), wherein Lowrance served as a partner before it was purchased by another entity.

One notable success was creating an automated title search program, which was sold to Stewart Title Company in 2007. Lowrance and his partner maintained a minority ownership position in the company and served as Vice Presidents until 2017.
